Baldwin Park riders have Glendora Mountain Road and San Gabriel Canyon within easy reach north, and the 10 and the 605 for everything else. That is two completely different acoustic environments: canyon roads where the wind changes with every corner and the walls throw sound back at you unpredictably, and long freeway runs where the noise is constant and unrelenting. Pods handle both because the fix in each case is the same — get the sound close to the rider and aim it.

On a Street Glide or Road Glide there is a fairing amplifier and a tank pull. On a Road King the pods carry the job and the amplifier sits in a bag on a carpeted board with an AMS quick disconnect, so the bag still comes off in seconds. Bag bass is cut lids, concave drilling, carpeted spacers, inverted speakers and soldered quick disconnects.

The thing worth correcting is the idea that a canyon bike and a freeway bike need different systems. They need the same thing for different reasons. On GMR the wind direction changes constantly and a fairing speaker spends most of the ride firing into moving air; on the 10 the noise floor is simply high. In both cases, sound that originates close to the rider and is aimed upward reaches you, and sound that fires across you does not.
