View Park–Windsor Hills is 12.3 miles from the Avalon pin. Slauson east or Crenshaw south toward the 110 and Harbor Freeway, then Avalon. Twenty-five to thirty minutes on a bagger. The alternate is Vermont Avenue south to Avalon Boulevard. Coming down off the ridge adds a few minutes the map does not count. Maps pin 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A, CA 90745.
The hill here is curving residential streets with real gradient and long views down into the basin, and it is one of the best-kept neighbourhoods in the county — Spanish and mid-century houses, garages that are actually used, and cars and bikes that are looked after properly. The ride out is Slauson or Crenshaw and then the 110 south, which means a bagger goes from slow gradient work among houses to full freeway speed within a couple of miles. A Road Glide on that second half is asking more of the fairing than the fairing was built to give.
AMS Pods start at $649 a pair. Chrome or gloss, crash-bar bracket and screws included, built to order in-house, about three weeks. Nothing gets invented beyond $649 a pair — the rest of a build is quoted on your bike at the counter. A full bagger build is usually up to about ten business days in the shop.
Richard makes them in Carson, in-house since 2003 and in the trade since 1998. Hertz Neo goes inside — small neodymium magnet, weatherproof, clear at volume. Street Glide and Road Glide take a fairing amplifier and a tank pull. On a Road King the pods carry the job and the amplifier lives in a bag on a carpeted board with an AMS quick disconnect. On a garaged bike the finish will stay sharp for years, which makes chrome and gloss an equal choice rather than a durability trade.
Street Glide, Road Glide and Road King. Harley radios in the shop are Diamond Audio, plus Sony and Soundstream. On a bike that is kept properly, the details worth spending time on are the bracket angle and the wiring routing — both are permanent decisions, and both are much easier to get right at build time than to revisit on a bike you would rather not take apart again.
A Road Glide fairing speaker is a compromise the factory made for packaging reasons, not an acoustic decision, and it shows up exactly where this neighbourhood rides: on the 110 at speed with the rider's head well above and behind it. Owners assume the fix is a better speaker in the same hole, and a better speaker in a bad location is still in a bad location. Moving the source onto the crash bar changes the geometry instead of just changing the part, which is why the improvement is not subtle.
A Road Glide that is actually audible on the 110 rather than only at a standstill. A finish that stays sharp because the bike is garaged. Bracket angle and wiring routing decided once, properly. Weatherproof pods regardless. Nothing showing along the frame. And bags that come off in seconds.
Slauson east or Crenshaw south to the 110, then Avalon — 12.3 miles, twenty-five to thirty minutes. AMS Pods from $649 a pair, chrome or gloss, bracket and screws included, about three weeks built to order. Change the geometry, not just the part.
Same bay, same trip. Car audio is LA Car Beats at lacarbeats.com — a German sedan keeps its factory screen and its chimes. Window tint is LA Car Tint at lacartint.com — 3M Authorized Dealer, hand-cut on a glass board, micro edge to the gasket. Vehicle security is LA Car Alarm at lacaralarm.com — a garaged classic and a keyless daily are two different jobs.
Monday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Sunday closed, walk-ins welcome. Pods are about three weeks built to order, so the first visit is a measurement and a conversation. Nick writes the quote, Zack runs the floor. A Payment Plan is available at the counter once the bike is quoted. Google shows 4.8 from 654 reviews.
If your Road Glide gives up on the 110 leaving the hill, a better speaker in the same hole is still in the same hole. Call or text (310) 513-8800 and ask for Nick. 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A, CA 90745.

No. There is no motorcycle storefront on the hill. AMS Pods is the Harley bagger-audio side of Audio MotorSports at 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A, CA 90745 — 12.3 miles away.
Its location is a factory packaging compromise rather than an acoustic decision, and your head sits well above and behind it at freeway speed.
A better speaker in a bad location is still in a bad location. Moving the source to the crash bar changes the geometry rather than just the part.

Street Glide, Road Glide and Road King. Those three only on these pages.
Either. On a bike that is kept indoors the finish stays sharp for years, so it becomes preference rather than a durability trade.
Bracket angle and wiring routing. Both are permanent and both are far easier to get right at build time.
Yes, both take a fairing amplifier and a tank pull so nothing runs visibly along the frame.
Yes. A Payment Plan is available at the counter after the bike is quoted. Payment Plan is the only name for it.
Car audio, window tint, and vehicle security — plus Harley bagger audio on the AMS Pods side. Body work, wraps, paint protection film, and auto glass are other trades; we'll point you to someone good rather than guess.
