Alhambra riders have Angeles Crest within reach and the 710 and 10 on the doorstep, which is an unusual combination — genuinely good canyon riding and genuinely bad freeway noise in the same week. That is exactly the spread that shows up the limits of a stock fairing speaker. On the 10 west you are fighting truck noise and grooved surfaces; up on the Crest you are fighting wind and elevation. Neither is solved by turning the volume up, because the sound is going past you rather than to you.
